About Chef Kundi

Chef Kundai Muchanyuka, known as Chef Kundi, grew up in Harare, Zimbabwe where he first discovered his  passion for cooking in his mother’s kitchen. Trained as a Zimbabwean government apprentice, his culinary  skills expanded and developed over the years that he spent training and then cooking in diverse hospitality  establishments, including being one of the four Zimbabwean chefs chosen to work in South Africa during the  2010 FIFA World Cup at the Grace Hotel on Rosebank, Johannesburg now known as 54 on Bath.

Chef Kundi  has passed through notable mentors such as Bernie Costas, David Lupenga and Thomas Grove. This exposure  has enabled him to harness the various skills learnt over a 10 year career and create a product that he is passionate about which focuses on connecting people through food.
